Ganesha is the ” God of prudence and wisdom, he has the great power to triumph over difficulties. Thus he is frequently worshipped under the name of Vigneshwara and Vinayaka, that is to say, conqueror over difficulties”

Whether he has his trunk pointing to the center, left or right,

Whether he is sitting, standing or dancing,

Whether he is two-armed, four-armed or ten-armed,

Whether he is with one consort, two consorts or a Goddess (Sarasvati),

He is Ganesha.
