When I was skimming through the above book, I was surprised and pleased to see a photo of a bronze in my collection.
The book is titled ‘Let Us Learn Sculptural Art’.
The photo of the bronze with me and the page from the book are below.
I never approved the publishing and nobody asked. Not that I would have refused.
The funny thing is, the book boldly declares its contents are copyright-protected and one may not reproduce the contents without prior approval. Copyright protection for plagiarised content..hmmm. The book is published by Tamil Nadu Government, a state in India.
I checked with my lawyer-daughter, and she assured me the copyright of the photo stays with me. Seeing my bronze in a book did give that warm feeling, but an acknowledgement of the source would have been graceful.
The book is on learning sculptural art. It is a well-written book, and it is worth buying. It is in Tamil. I hope they come up with an English version soon, but with proper acknowledgement.
