Surprisingly, antique bronzes of Vishnu are readily available, unlike those of other major deities. What makes this Vigraha desirable is the seated posture, the place of origin (Kerala in this case), the quality of casting and condition.

The features worth noting include the open design of the prabhavali, the rectangular shape of the Chakra (upper right-hand), the Ardhapadmasana posture and the plain Bhadrapeetha (a notable aspect of bronzes from Kerala). Very sharp features.
